  •     Changes in colors and size

  • These handmade and handpainted tiles are prone to tiny changes in color and size because of their nature and hand-making process. These are the characteristics of "handcrafted" products which give their authenticity and beauty.

  • The tiles are about 10x10x1 cm.

  •     Laying out and maintenance

  • On their own or associated with other materials, our tiles are meant to decorate interior walls. To be completely satisfied, they must be laid out following the codes of practice and the current norms. We advise you to ask a professional tile installer.

  • Before fixing the tiles into place, you should lay them out and ensure that any colour, size and shade variations are well mixed, then you could arrange their position properly.

  • Our tiles should not be used to cover worktops because the cleaners may be too abrasive.

  • We recommend a grout width of around 3-4 mm.

  • Our tiles are easily cleaned with water, soap and a soft cloth.

  •     Why "histoire de d." ? ("histoire" means "history")

  • because each ancient tile tells a little history, about a man or a place; a series of events which mingle to write the History...
  • "d."...like Desvres, a city in the North of France, which traditionnally produces earthenware.
"d."...like Design and "d."...like Discovery of the magnificence and wide range of patterns.
